Our creative process was initiated by trying to answer the prompt, “what happens in the silence?” Our team members independently recorded audio and video samples of environments where silence is embodied. Text prompts invite the audience to listen and imagine different modes of silence within the soundscapes of their bodies, neighborhoods, cities, and the cosmos, while chaotic sounds and images from near-silent environments disrupt the creative process of attempting to empty one’s listening.
